In our latest Open Source SIG gathering, we delved into the ever-evolving world of software development and artificial intelligence.  Contributing attendees include Shen-Han Chiu, Dr. Carl Cotner, Kyle Gilbert, Sahil Pardassani, and Jeff Schulman. The session was a vibrant hub of innovative ideas and collaborative learning.

Today’s discussions centered around generative AI and functional programming with the Coconut programming language, showcasing our group’s dedication to staying at the forefront of technological advancement. Our exploration into integrating diverse technologies, such as chaining LLMs using Ollama and building a local Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) engine with a web interface accessible from anywhere. As we continue to explore open-source software and cutting-edge research, we invite you to join us in this journey of discovery and innovation.
